ACHS is absolutely one of the greatest high schools in Atlantic County.
The teachers truly do care, the guidance counselors actually guide! The extra curriculars and the clubs are all fantastic.
The school is extremely clean, they have one of the most gorgeous libraries I've ever seen!
The security does have to be there. And I am glad for that. They do their jobs. But they develop good rapports with the kids. So it's very safe. So many people have a preconceived notion of what they think the school is.
I would highly recommend ACHS to any parent or student. The large group of ethnically diverse students is great, as they don't see one another as any different because of their race or religion. They see their friends. It is a public school; with a bit of a private school "family" feel
Review Atlantic City High School
Atlantic City High School. A school where everyone knows everything about every single person. Even to the tiniest person. Here's my experience Freshman year(2013) to Senior year(present). When I was a freshman there weren't many people in ACHS, so it was pretty easy to get around the school quickly especially in a five minute time limit to get to class before the bell rings. Throughout the years he school has progressively increased in the number of students which was annoying. Number one thing I dislike most about this school is that it is mostly about sports and not academics. Now to my senior year. My senior year has been completely terrible, so much drama for such little things. A thing this school schools change is the way the students act. If you bump into a person slightly they would want to fight you and it's not acceptable not everyone could fight. Now as for this school review, ACHS sucks.
I am a student from Atlantic City High School. I am now a senior here and have been a part of this high school since my freshman year. The school has a great academic program with good teachers to get a student ready for college. The academic programs here are challenging, so the students are always on there toes. The students that go here are from four different cities, which make this school very diverse with all different cultures. The clubs and sports here are unique for all students. The school is very safe, but the food and facilities are not so great. All in all Atlantic City High School is a good high school.
