Atlanta International School Reviews
It's true that the IB curriculum is challenging but (& this is unusual) the entire school follow it, not just an elite few, so the level of IB expertise, resource and support is unparalleled.
There are myths about the language programs, you really don't need to be a linguist! Ours had no 2nd language when they joined, one finished with a bilingual IB Diploma, another took standard level for DP.
AIS prepared our kids well for universities in the US and abroad & the school gave us all a really interesting, supportive community.
We wanted them to have a great education, a friendly community and a truly international outlook and that is exactly what the school gave them.
I am a born critic, and my personal philosophies stray from believing in the existence of any "perfect" options. That all to say - I would not trade in my experience at this school, with those friends, teachers and staff, for anything else in the world. They defined so much of who I was to become - and I like to think, they left me the wiggle room to continue that growth in the directions that best align with my personal values.
I have never, nor will I ever see eye-to-eye with AIS on everything - but with what I have experienced in a range of different academic spaces, the overarching opportunities the school offers before, during and after a student's school years are second to none.
You will not find a perfect school curriculum, system or campus anywhere in the world - but you can aim to find the best possible choice for your child.
For me, this school set that baseline.
