Since 1947, ASB School has partnered with our parents and parishes to provide excellent education in the Catholic tradition. In addition to strong academic skills, students develop problem-solving and executive functioning skills that are essential for 21st-century learners.

Welcoming to students and families from all faith backgrounds, we are dedicated to meeting the diverse ways in which students learn. Our teachers and specialists guide students toward self-advocacy, personal responsibility & meaningful engagement with local and global communities.

ASB Students are "Inspired to Learn, Called to Serve and Prepared to Lead."

Executive Functioning Enrichment and Support

At ASB, we strive to ensure that our students are receiving a well-rounded education that promotes holistic development and growth. Much of what a student is able to accomplish is a direct result from the influence of their developing executive functioning skills. We believe in the importance of explicit teaching, practice, and reinforcement of these skills in the daily lives of students.

Assumption-St.Bridget School (ASB) has a tradition of strong academics, a commitment to the arts, and wide athletic participation.

ASB did not skip a beat transitioning to at-home learning due to COVID-19, adding Zoom sessions and restructuring school days and the spring calendar in consideration of both teachers and students. Communication has been prompt in response to the fluid situation.

Our 8th and 5th grade daughters were accustomed to using Google Classroom in school, so the transition to at-home learning was seamless. 8th grade traditions including a retreat, graduation breakfast, and the graduation Mass and ceremony were carried out virtually in such a thoughtful way in spite of the circumstances + a family car parade around the school was added.

We feel so fortunate our three girls have been formed by this loving school community. Our oldest daughter has made the transition to high school so confidently and successfully because of how well prepared she was at ASB.

We started at ASB in January of my son's kindergarten year, five year ago. I was nervous moving mid-year, but it was the best thing we could have done. He received welcoming letters from his new teacher and classmates over winter break, prior to even starting (I now understand that sort of thing is typical at ASB). He seemed more comfortable within days of starting than he ever did at his previous school. Teachers are smart, energized and have great support teams so they are able to do extra. Each grade has a consistent curriculum and the hand-off to the next grade is really smooth. It is clear that the teachers, aids, specialists and staff are all working together.

I also love the Buddy Program. Students from older grades are paired with a student from a younger grade. They meet regularly during school and do small projects. My children love their buddies. It is so sweet. They really build a friendship and it seems to help them all feel connected.
ASB is a small city community of upper middle class folk. It’s starting to become more racially diverse to match Seattle‘s general population and I don’t perceive any issue with school admin and staff in that regard although the parents have shown ignorance which has been an occasional annoyance. The level of education is great. The extra programs like music, drama and technology are also very good. Art is infused at many levels and PE and sports are very present. An excellent school choice compared to public education.
