As a parent, my only complaint would be fewer choices for classes. I would love for my children to have more options for their class choices other than the basics. We have made the choice to go without choices so our children can go to a school where they feel safe walking the halls without seeing fights take place. The classes they do offer, are challenging and are preparing my children to be successful in their future learning as they move onto college. With the small class sizes, the teachers get to know the students well. These smaller class sizes also help to limit disruptions from students so the teachers are able to cover all the needed content.
Assumptions has a great Athletic program, all students are invited to participate. They have many sports that have made it to and won state many times. Extra curricular activities are encouraged by both teachers and administration.

Was okay, but if you are LGBTQIA+, you will NOT be accepted. Similarly, conservative students are very outspoken about their beliefs and willingly put down anyone who doesn't agree with them. A lot of the teachers either endorse this attitude or pretend it isn't happening. So if you're white, Catholic, and conservative, you'll do well here. If you're anything else, it's gonna be tough. Also, abortion isn't even talked about here, but if a student gets pregnant, that student is kicked out instead of given support or resources.
I thoroughly enjoyed my high school experience at Assumption. It prepared me for college in so many ways. From academics and athletics to religion and culture, I achieved so much in my four short years here. I'm grateful to be an Assumption Knight and will honor the values, responsibilities and work ethic that I learned here throughout the rest of my life.
