My experience attending Aspire Golden State Prep has been very interesting! I have been attending GSP for 6 years, I started when I was in sixth grade, and each and every year you get to experience something new. Aspire Golden State Prep its a great school compare to other schools, because here we're actually given the chance to try our best into getting into college. Overall it's a great school!

I am a senior at Aspire Golden State College Preparatory Academy. I have been going to school there since I was in 6th grade. I am planning on attending UCLA with a full ride in the fall of 2018. I was challenged by the graduation requirements at GSP. We are required to take 15 college credits, some which can be used to fill our A-G requirements such as art and another language. The teachers are very invested and dedicated to their work and their students. The administration is currently undergoing work and are looking for a new principal. All faculty members are devoted to the students. This creates a very nurturing culture and experience. I have never felt like a number to a teach or other student, it is small enough to know all the people in your class and even bind with them all.
I have been attending Golden State Prep since the first year that it opened when I was in sixth grade. The school is small and has seen many changes throughout the 6 years I have been here. I met a lot of people who I have a very close bond with, teachers and student alike and I appreciate that it is a small school where everyone knows who you are. The school is too small however. There is not many opportunities to find somewhere you truly belong and the school has very little resources which makes students feel like they are not getting the proper preparation they need for college.
