From the beginning of sixth grade until the end of twelfth, Aspire has taught me the value of social responsibility, giving me the strength to build my community, and offered me endless amounts of opportunities that have shaped me into the person, son and student I am today.
Although I am now known as my school's Associated Student Body (ASB) president, I remember entering Golden State College Preparatory (GSP) feeling alone, scared, and clueless. Through school counseling and self motivation to step out of my comfort zone, I was able to expose myself to one on one interactions with my peers and school staff. As a twelfth grader now, I have been able to gain knowledge on how to professionally interact with people outside of a school setting. Through the weekly group projects assigned within class, to my use of professionalism when I spoke to my college counselor, my ability to code switch has strengthened because I’m constantly within collaborative environments.

Attending Golden State Prep has been a really unique experience. When I first started out, I was only in middle school. Throughout my middle and high school years, I learned how to be a better person and also how to work through tough moments. The Teachers are all kind and support the students in any way they can. The principal is very kind and does a swell job of communicating with parents and students. The school also encourages extra curricular activities outside of the school. This school has taught me what a school community is suppose to feel like and how to build communication skills others.
My experience attending Aspire Golden State Prep has been very interesting! I have been attending GSP for 6 years, I started when I was in sixth grade, and each and every year you get to experience something new. Aspire Golden State Prep its a great school compare to other schools, because here we're actually given the chance to try our best into getting into college. Overall it's a great school!
