Although Ben Holt is considered to be a prestigious school in my city, I think this school is mediocre at best. While this school puts a lot of emphasis on academic, it doesn’t put enough care into the extra curricular activities like sports or clubs. I think that this school is very stressful since it puts a lot of emphasis on the academic part and it doesn’t really teach us anything besides how to get ready for college and what to expect in college. This school doesn’t even offer Pe or have a library which is something every high school should have. So while many consider this to be a great this, I think it’s no better than an average high school for the reason stated above.

Ben Holt has become my home. While it doesn't have all the opportunities larger schools may offer, such as a wide selection of courses, a large amount of clubs/sports, or Friday night football games, it shines in other ways such as various dual enrollment choices, close teacher relationships, and college preparation through the form of senior advisory and Senior Seminar. Like any school, it has its pros and cons, but it has become a part of me and I wish it the best.
This school is extremely well balanced between their academics, the diversity and the sports. They have teachers that care for you and want you to succeed with life, along with class placement that can challenge you, allowing you to grow. The students are very well behaved and the wide range of extracurriculars let the students have many different choices of what they would like to be a part of.
