Arvin High School is an excellent school. I really love it here. Arvin High has a bad reputation, but the reputation is not true. The teachers are super friendly and helpful. The students are all friends and everywhere you walk in Arvin High you can get some smiles. There’s never a dull moment here, there’s so much school spirit, and it’s so easy to make new friends. I can honestly say I am very proud to have been able to attend Arvin High School, and I wouldn’t have preferred to attend anywhere else!

This school has opened up many exhilarating doors for the future of many students. The teachers strive to give every student a will to go beyond what they believe. They introduce a friendly environment and their dedication into helping us expand is evident.
Clubs in this school are also truly wonderous. Some involve helping the community, math, competition, languages, etc. The school truly dedicates itself for the future of its students. Recently the school has been associated with Bakersfield College and classes such as public speaking are available, as the school wishes every student success into achieveing every goal.
Sports such as tennis, baseball, basketball, etc., are available in this school and the coaches give every player a desire to go beyond the limits that bound us.
Many people who haven’t attended this school would label it as “bad”, but giving it a chance with personal experience in the end, will help develop you into a determined successful person.
2016 former grad here. Arvin High is great because most students come from humble backgrounds, and act reverent, even if gangs are prominent which is my concern. Classes are abundant, teachers vary, but for the most part the teachers are great. Sports, I think they are good but not stellar. Academics, I would say are not great because a lot of students do not strive to go further, but that is purely investigative, don't know every student's goals. Diversity is a big no, 98% hispanic! Otherwise, it's a good school when it comes to the community, since it's where every parent's child goes off to. With some more importance on the students that have bad reputations i think is needed, since I see a lot of focus towards those that actually want to go further. Assistance for the less involved students is needed.
