Arts at the Capitol Theater Magnet School Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 94 reviews
I transferred here after my sophomore year and I genuinely think it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’ve always wanted to do theatre professionally, so being able to immerse myself in the arts has been so beneficial. I love that we can take classes outside of our major.
My biggest issue is how problems are handled. My friends and I have been the target of harassment and cyberbullying, and not much has been done about it, as far as I can tell. But other than that these have been some of the best years of my life.

Arts at the Capitol Theater is able to provide students, such as myself, experience in the arts. I am a part of the Creative Writing Major and we learn about the importance of the words we put on the page and how they can change a piece of literature. We also learn how to give constructive feedback in workshops of each other's pieces. We also participate in writing contests such as Scholastic.
The teachers and staff are rude. They don’t respect the students and act as if they are your friend even though they are not and don’t act professionally , not to mention they can not teach. ACT claims to have a 0 tolerance policy. Which is a lie. There are Assaulters walking around the school no care in the world while the people who speak out against it get in trouble. The only thing ACT cares about is money. They say it’s for us but they are lying. The school has a big budget but they make students ask for more to get a grade. you can get suspended if you bring up a problem with the school. They control your social media accounts too. This school is awful and I couldn’t even make it through my freshman year. Especially do not go to this school if you want a life. No college readiness. The school has been shot at 3 times and it took them 3 times to do something about it. Students misbehave and no one does anything about it as long as it doesn’t make the school look bad.
