To start off, I love the entertainment technology program so much, because we have awesome gear and an amazing teacher who knows so much about broadcasting and took the time out his day to learn filmmakking and teach that to my peers and I. My creative writing class was so fun, interactive, and educational in everyclass with a phenomenal teacher, and my science teacher was one of the nicest woman who consistently tried to teach me respect, honor, and dignity. Which I believe weren't taught in vein. Can't say the class was too fun,...because it's science....Oh! Nevermind, i'm wrong the labs that we did were actually really fun.

I feel like my personal experience at this school was outstanding! I attended all four years of high school there and learned so much. I found my forever friends there and experienced love for the first time. I was given leadership experience and also many humbling opportunities where I both struggled and succeeded in the groups I was in. The education and artistic experiences I received while at AP Mays C.O.T.A. were outstanding and extremely special to me. I will forever be grateful everyone who was apart of my growth during high school and will always look back at those years and cherish the memories.
It's a small school, so it's good for intimate 1 on 1 learning if you're the type of person that needs it. Unfortunately, the staff is filled with irrational adults that can't contain their power complexes and let pride blind them from doing their jobs. For example, one time a misunderstanding lead to me getting a CSI, and even AFTER we cleared up everything they were unwilling to remove the penalty because "They said what they said and that's what it is.". On the flip side though, the magnet program is stellar and they win tons of awards every year at a rate that only seems to be growing exponentially. The building is falling apart though, they're adding support beams just to keep it from caving in on itself. Seriously needs some new renovations. I'd say the good and the bad make it even out to a 3 star average rating.
