Although Beckman is a fairly large school, the teachers and community compensate for any feelings of solitude among students. The teachers here are absolutely outstanding, each holding a different from of patriotism (our school's motto) and setting a role model for their students. They all show students that school is not only about growing academically, but also learning more about life and having fun! Academics are very strong, with a diverse range of offered AP classes and flexibility for advanced placement into various subject fields. Every student has a place to belong at Beckman High School.

Like any other school, there are definitely both pros and cons. Beckman is a very academically strong school. It's nationally ranked and has amazing teachers/staff, so you will get a great education here. On the other hand, this very academic environment makes students tense and is a breeding ground for intense competition. For clubs, sports, and activities, it's a pendulum. If you want to be involved, Beckman has an amazing clubs program, well-structured athletics, fantastic/award-winning arts programs, and provides many opportunities to participate. However, lots of kids choose to focus on academics – leaving athletics, arts, and activities behind. As for teachers, the majority of the teachers I have had have truly made a great, lasting impact on my life; most truly care about your success and well-being.
I loved attending Beckman and I find it hard to believe that my time here is up this may. The majority of the teachers were really involved in the subject they taught which encouraged me to learn. I especially believe our arts program are executed extremely well. We have the most qualified teachers in the art department and they all have had a huge impact on the way high school has shaped me. My counselor was also very helpful throughout my junior and senior year and I appreciate that so much!
