Arnold O. Beckman offers a unique experience to each individual. Personally, my four years at Beckman have been nothing short of fulfilling. Beckman offers a fairly new campus with the recently adapted facilities. It offers safety and a campus officer to ensure the well-being of its students. It offers competitive academics, top division sports, and attentive admin who excel in building relationships of trust with high schoolers. Most notably, Beckman High School provides a culture of belonging. I have witnessed the liberty that driven individuals are given to alter the very structure of tradition—most memorably the creation of the film department Lip Dub and the student-led school Walkout against gun-violence in 2018. I've been privileged to enter classrooms of highly esteemed teachers and leave a student of immeasurable growth. Through the limitless opportunities it has to offer, Beckman High School is home to many fond memories and experiences for individuals such as myself.

Arnold O. Beckman High School had a rather stressful environment because everyone in that community strove to be the best and have outstanding applications. But that meant there would be too many big fish in a small pond, per say. Things were competitive and there used to be little regard for the mental health of students. I graduated from there in 2018 and have heard that they’re beginning to place more emphasis on the mental health of students while juggling many difficult or work-intensive courses and extracurriculars, which is a very good thing. Overall, my experience was about average. It’s a good school and has great facilities and resources, but it’s the stressful environment that I’d like to see improved.
Arnold O. Beckman high school is the school for your children to attend to obtain a good education. The staff and teachers are attentive and always strive to come up with better learning ways for students. Teachers are constantly there for students if students need help with homework or just want to review for tests/quizzes or the Advanced Placement (AP) tests. Students feel safe at Beckman. Furthermore, the food in the cafeteria is delicious and healthy. However, there are several things that might make Beckman a better school such as including more tables for students to sit on. At Beckman, there is an abundance of students but not many tables; many students end up sitting on the ground in hallways, some by choice some not by choice. Other than that, Beckman high school is a great school with an immense amount of school spirit and support for one another.
