The school has a good amount of course selection for college readiness, offering many AP and college prep classes. The teachers range from mediocre to excellent, most being good enough to relay information effectively. A large amount of student s don't care about their education ,which explains the schools below 40 percent graduation and this culture brings the school down a bit. Policy is often very scarcity leading to students being treated as young children ( for example we have to sign out and log our time when we use the bathroom ). The school is okay but is brought down by the lack of student interest.

I enjoyed Armwood because of the Collegiate Academy that I was in. I would love to see the teachers become more excited about teaching. The teachers in the classrooms have potential to make a huge difference in kid's lives, but they cannot reach that potential if they are not excited to teach them. Also, I would enforce behavior standards and hold our students to higher expectations. Every student has unlimited potential as long as they work hard, have the right help, and believe they can succeed. I believe a school has a major influence in that mentality so by changing the mentality of the faculty, it could very well change the mentality of students who are not motivated to make a better lives for themselves.
I just started Armwood High a year ago. From my experience, the teachers are very motivating and helpful, they care about you and your future as much as you do. The school is very safe and the environment is friendly and positive. Armwood High is a great school, you just have to know what you want in life. On the other hand, I would like to see a lot of changes made with the lunch and buses. The lunch is not so good and I think the school should provide bus for the students that stay back after school to participate in extra curricular activities because after all we are giving back to the school.
