We are a K-12, lottery-based, open-enrollment public charter school focused on artistic excellence through the integration of exceptional Visual and Performing Arts Pathways in combination with high academic standards in all core content areas.
At Arkansas Arts Academy, we recognize that our students have inherent and unique gifts and abilities. For this reason, the basis of student learning will be formed by the acknowledgement, exploration, and development of these talents within an environment of continued cultivation of self-awareness and community consciousness. Our outstanding faculty in numerous visual and performing arts, and core learning areas are ready to guide and support your student on their learning path. I have been attending AAA since elementary school and it used to be fantastic. The teachers were passionate about teaching and inspiring the kids, the staff was kind and took the time to get to know all of the students. However, in the recent years, the staffing and organization at this school has gone downhill. The teacher morale is low and there has been full turnover of staffing in just one school year. Students are struggling to keep up in classes with new teachers constantly coming and going and the administrators constantly changing schedules and block periods. This school used to be a good one, but my honest review as an upcoming senior is that the administrators and the school board care little for the students, and even less for the staff.
Arkansas art academy is an fantastic charter school located in Rogers Arkansas in relation to access to arts education. The courses offered at the Arkansas arts academy are wonderful in the arts department. In the educational department the school struggles to maintain consistent teachers and the courses offered are limited. Sports are severely limited and this is not the place to come if you are looking for sports. The education received is average. The main draws of the school are the block scheduling, the more inviting environment of a small school and the arts opportunities.
I love AAA I have been here since Kindergarten and never wanted to leave. The teachers and the principals (Elementary and High school.) I love being able to have/choice so many electives and ARE the arts. I feel like everybody is just themselves and CAN be themselves, I have never though about leaving the school nor would I dare. They have electives that are RARELY seen in other school. Like Orchestra , Mountain Biking. They even have Archery! They really cater and care about the kids. And I always feel safe and if I need help the teachers will help.
