I have been with AZVA in 8th grade and then left to go to a brick and mortar school. I came back for my junior year in high-school and now am attending for my senior year. AZVA has taught me so much about how to learn on my own and how to be responsible with my time. Unlike other schools they teach you about life skills such as; creating resumes, cover letters, finances, and scholarship opportunities. You might be wondering why I put four stars if I speak so highly of the education, well like any school it has one tiny flaw and that is the fact that the online lessons that are required overlap sometimes and it is hard to balance all the courses. The teachers however do accommodate to your schedule and they care about how you are doing in school and not just their specific class. Overall this school really helps you achieve your dreams

When I first started at Arizona Virtual Academy, I was a week late. My teachers and administration were very understanding and helped me figure out how the program worked. They always made sure I was understanding what the class was learning. Going to AZVA is actually helping me a lot by taking courses I never would have been able to take. Their lessons are explained well, however, the teachers do have class connects for students who do not understand the content. Overall, I am very pleased with the school and I would recommend it to any one who is considering doing online school.
The online schooling environment can be pretty tricky. The lack of testing of new courses is alarming. Instead of asking if a student would like to try out a new style of a course, they just shoved it on anybody, those who failed (80% of the students if I remember correctly) had to take the first semester of a traditional Algebra II course being promised second semester would be the traditional system would be as well. Then the next semester they are forced back into the experimental course as the traditional course was dropped. Overall they need to test courses before forcing them on everybody and they need to train teachers better for filling in for other teachers.
