The myriad of classes offered is outstanding. The school spirit and genuine excitement around being a Cavalier is palpable! The school is safe, but provides just enough freedom to prepare its students for college. It’s honestly a true home away from home for many of its students and strikes a perfect balance of competitive academics and extracurricular activities. Of the three other private schools my children have attended in Maryland, this one is by far the best.

I have spent an immense amount of time researching schools over the past time years. You will not find a better secondary school to educate your child in responsible, respectful, and responsive behavior. I have witnessed numerous acts of selflessness to help a schoolmate. In addition, you will not find more enthusiasm for teammates and schoolmates on the field of play, the classroom, and the music and arts.

If you would like a responsible and respectful adult that is interested in contributing to their community in a meaningful, look no further. The adults that surround your child will model this conduct and provide the example of “ look on me and do likewise.”
I came to Spalding for the Pathways to Engineering Program and have loved all 4 years. Facilities and programs have advanced a lot just in the past few years with a new auditorium and the Innovation Center for robotics. Sports and school spirit are very prevalent and I have made friends who I see myself staying close with for years to come. The choice of AP and IB is nice, but few IB STEM classes are offered, mostly due to the lack of kids in the program to justify such classes. Spalding sets up every student for college, with some notable acceptances this year to Georgetown, UChicago, and MIT. Spalding is the school for me.
