Archbishop has created an environment for students that no other school can do. My overall experience at Archbishop has been the best. I couldn't imagine going through high school at any other school. Archbishop makes you feel safe and protected with strict security and enforcement of rules. Archbishop has also created a fun environment with the countless pep rally, basketball and football games and Homecoming week! The academics at Archbishop have been a huge reason why I continued my high school years at Archbishop. They solely focus on college readiness and each year graduate all their seniors.

Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School is very strong in the academics category. The teachers and guidance counselors always push students to strive for success and to participate in challenging courses such has Honors and Advanced Placement courses. This High School offers an array of clubs and sports that appeals to the majority of its students. There is always an opportunity to learn something new or to hone in on specific skills. One thing that could be improved for this High School is the involvement of counselors. Although our guidance counselors are great in guiding their students when it comes to course selection and college application, I think it is just as important for the counselors to be emotionally available for their students.
My favorite experience: attending Transfiguration! One thing that my school offers that other schools in the area do not offer is the experience of escaping reality and school stress for three days and being open to the amazing retreat experience. During the three days of the Transfiguration retreat that Seniors have worked on over the course of the school year, high school Juniors are able to become closer to God, find their purpose in life, as well as make long-lasting friendships. I wish that I could do highschool all over just so that I could experience of going on the three day retreats, make new friends, and expand my faith in God.
