Apponequet has very caring and vested teachers who want their students to succeed. I enjoyed being a student and playing athletics there. The building is really old and needs to be updated badly, but the technology is still pretty good. Lots of choices for electives and flexibility in scheduling. Overall a fun high school experience!

Apponequet is like the stereotypical rural high school you see in movies. The student body is comprised of rich white kids, jocks, petty girls, and stoners. If you do not fall within and conform to any of those categories, you will be deemed an outcast and therefore unaccepted by everyone. This school is very clique-ey, and there are many cliques with impenetrable social bubbles. If you're not in their circle, they wont talk to you. Also, everyone knows everyone here due to the small student body, so expect gossip to get around fast. The school is not diverse at all and 95% of the student body is white.

Aside from the unfavorable social environment, the academics are fairly good. You can get a decent education at Apponequet. The majority of teachers really care about the students and want them to succeed. Apponequet sets you up well for college.
It's a pretty typical rural suburban high school. If you go here you probably either know or know of everyone in your grade. Mostly upper white class kids with the same interests. There is a diverse amount of clubs- not only sports, but an art club, different music programs, computer/tech clubs, environmental club, diversity club, NHS, pretty much anything. If not, it's easy to start a club. The school seems to be decently funded overall. Most teachers are okay, some really do care and want you to do well. If you graduate top 10, you can pretty much get into most selective schools (except the Ivys) The overall school culture is okay, aside from the administration that seems to push their extreme liberal political agenda on students at times (but hey, that's all academia.) You get used to it after a while. It's really what you make of it. You can make lasting relationships with teachers if you try, it's not too bad, but could be better like anything else.
