Appling Christian Academy Reviews
The school is trying to have more extracurricular options aside from sports. Fine arts and competitions are more encouraged. FCA and vocal ensemble are also just beginning.
The cafeteria accommodates the size of the student body. The food is satisfactory, although it could use more variety. There's always a choice of a hot meal, salad, or sack lunch. Also, the price for lunch needs to be reduced.
The overall safety of the school is very good. We have had a few break-ins but no bomb threats or anything that extreme. This school cannot afford a nurse, I'm assuming, but the front office provides first aid.
Sports at this school are greatly encouraged. Football is the sport that gets much support from the students and from other local schools. The gymnasium is one of the best-looking ones around. Other sports like volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball are played throughout the school year. Physical education has been emphasized in recent years to promote students getting physically active for their well-being. The facilities are good currently but expansion will definitely improve them.
The academics offered at Appling Christian Academy are general classes. The private school is too small to offer any AP or honors classes because of lack of teachers and funds. The school only provides the bare minimum of classes in order to graduate high school.
