I absolutely loved the teachers. They were all so warm-hearted, friendly, and caring. However, the school itself needs a lot more improvement, especially on the academic side. First, textbooks are often outdated and old. Second, academic clubs could be way stronger with more budget and resources. Third, students should be more encouraged to challenge themselves and take AP/IB classes. Overall, I would say this High School is average. It is important to surround yourself with the right people and have a rich state of mind so that you can prepare to be intellectually and emotionally ready for the college.

I would definitely chose to attend this school again! The parents and coaches are committed to their players and team members in sports. Parents come to run concession stands at baseball, track, and football games I know for sure. They bring food to the players and make sure hey have enough water. Every football game is packed with supporting students, friends, and family. Every track meet family and friends endure through either the freezing cold weather or the blazing hot sun to cheer on their friends and family. The support and love that everyone has at the school that I was able to witness made this school a great experience, even though I began here knowing absolutely no one.
Just like many other schools, Apalachee is a very good and successful place. Depending on the students you surround yourself with and the courses you take, one could do very well and have a lot of fun. I myself have my band family and robotics. I chose to stick with these, as well as AP classes and Duel Enrollment, to help me along my path to my future education goals. While it is a bit hard to not be with my friends at school, I do enjoy the freedom and rigor of the college classes. Apalachee has an environment in which there are many avenues to success. I just chose one that, while limiting my social life at high school, advanced my career plans.
