I absolutely loved the teachers. They were all so warm-hearted, friendly, and caring. However, the school itself needs a lot more improvement, especially on the academic side. First, textbooks are often outdated and old. Second, academic clubs could be way stronger with more budget and resources. Third, students should be more encouraged to challenge themselves and take AP/IB classes. Overall, I would say this High School is average. It is important to surround yourself with the right people and have a rich state of mind so that you can prepare to be intellectually and emotionally ready for the college.

I would definitely chose to attend this school again! The parents and coaches are committed to their players and team members in sports. Parents come to run concession stands at baseball, track, and football games I know for sure. They bring food to the players and make sure hey have enough water. Every football game is packed with supporting students, friends, and family. Every track meet family and friends endure through either the freezing cold weather or the blazing hot sun to cheer on their friends and family. The support and love that everyone has at the school that I was able to witness made this school a great experience, even though I began here knowing absolutely no one.
Once I moved from Jasper County my credits had a hard time transferring so the teachers and staff went beyond what I expected to help me with my schedule so that I could be placed into the level class that I belonged in. They made the transfer easy and painless and this continued through the next two and half years at Apalachee High. I took honors and AP classes, so I can personally say these teachers care strongly for their students and their success. They pushed my classmates and I to do and try more challenging class work to improve our skills. We even had multiple practice Mock exams to prepare us for the AP exam and took time out of their schedule to insure we would do great!
