I was only a sophomore when I first came to Apalachee High School. I was nervous and was not sure how it would turn out. However, on my first day, I quickly made some new friends and other students were really open to me and friendly. The teachers were also very accepting and over the years they have been supportive and caring. The teachers at Apalachee care about students and their success. Apalachee High School is a school dedicated to helping students prepare themselves and be successful but also to enjoy their high school years. Apalachee offers different sports and clubs to be involved in. I personally have been involved in the Cross Country and Track & Field team, and these teams allowed me to grow connections with other students and to further my high school career.

I absolutely loved the teachers. They were all so warm-hearted, friendly, and caring. However, the school itself needs a lot more improvement, especially on the academic side. First, textbooks are often outdated and old. Second, academic clubs could be way stronger with more budget and resources. Third, students should be more encouraged to challenge themselves and take AP/IB classes. Overall, I would say this High School is average. It is important to surround yourself with the right people and have a rich state of mind so that you can prepare to be intellectually and emotionally ready for the college.
I would definitely chose to attend this school again! The parents and coaches are committed to their players and team members in sports. Parents come to run concession stands at baseball, track, and football games I know for sure. They bring food to the players and make sure hey have enough water. Every football game is packed with supporting students, friends, and family. Every track meet family and friends endure through either the freezing cold weather or the blazing hot sun to cheer on their friends and family. The support and love that everyone has at the school that I was able to witness made this school a great experience, even though I began here knowing absolutely no one.
