Our school is full of school spirit! Most people attend games of all sorts and we are pretty creative when it comes to doing something to leave our mark. At one of the football games in the fall we all brought baby powder and streamers and wore white and then at one of stoppages we all threw the baby powder in the air and started chanting for our team! It even made it into a local newspaper from an alumni!

For fitness opportunities our school has a lot to offer within the school day as well as after. You can take endless amounts of gym classes that all contain different material such as team sports, aerobics, individual sports, power volleyball and much more. After school and in the summer you have the opportunity to use the weight room and you can also join what is called tornado force. Its a program that allows athletes to work with someone who knows what strengths each sport needs to work on. Therefore you are not just mindlessly working out but working towards benefitting your game.
I am currently enrolled at Anoka Ramsey community college for nursing and I absolutely loved what the Anoka high school staff did for me to get me where I am at today. Emily bested, who is the medical terminology teacher really shaped me into becoming what I always wanted to become. Also, the principle really encouraged and inspired me to keep pushing along and do great things in life and because of him, I already am becoming something so much greater.
Anoka High School stood out to me as one of the better high schools in my district, not only because I went there but because I knew other people from other schools and it overall seemed like a nicer environment. The faculty was all great, helped me through a lot - especially through the college application process. Had a great 4 years there.
