I have had a great experience at Anoka High School. Even though not everything is perfect, the good outweigh the not so good. There are 3 great things about Anoka High School that I believe makes it stand out. 1.Most and pretty much all of my teachers have cared about me and my success. 2. There are resources everywhere. There are times for tutoring, there are people there for you when you feel stressed and need some help or a talk. The resources are there, sometimes you just need to look. 3. The principal cares. The principal of Anoka High School cares significantly about his students, and ever since I've attended this school, I've seen him strive to make changes that will benefit his students. His effort always pays off and I always see improvements. He never makes an empty promise. He is a wise man!
Overall, Anoka is a great school! I was tempted to give it 5 stars however I can not do so because no school is perfect, but this school is great!

Anoka High School has been an amazing experience! Last week I was at EMASC, Eastern Minnesota Associations of Student Council, and I had the chance to connect with other students and their high school experiences. A lot of the school had never had the chance to really experience diversity within their schools and said that they had never had to think about the differences that we experience at our school. It was amazing to have the chance to explain some of the culture and diversity of our school and see how it affects everyone from students to staff.
I enjoyed the activities and the clubs. I had fun at the games and at the dances. There was some lack of discussion allowed by some of the faculty in the event you disagree with their politics but it's easy to adapt to what they want you to say. Over all I'd assume it's similar to any other High School and in that way just average. There wasn't anything all that special that the school did that any other school doesn't and there wasn't anything I experienced that was especially terrible. I do think it would be a great benefit if they had more focus on mental health. I also think it would be helpful to start promoting more life skills for the future to help students to prepare for life outside of school, especially for students who don't have someone at home able to help them learn or develop those abilities.
