I am in LOVE with the school model - project based learning. My children did a complete 180° in their attitudes toward school and in their grades after starting here.

The only thing I wish, is that the superintendent, Bruce Rockstroh, would be more attentive to the needs of this campus and its staff. If the school had the full support of John H. Wood Charter District's higher ups, the school would have a waiting list a mile long!

I enjoyed my experience at AFIA. I would recommend it to parents, teachers, and students who are or know someone who is/are transferring from homeschool to public school. I would recommend it to people who are looking for a very college oriented school to help themselves or their children be prepared for college.
I enjoy how the teachers are good about cooperating with you if you missed out on a seminar. They are flexible about going to a morning/afternoon class if you are unable to make it to your original time. Therefore, I’ve been receiving good grades. This has encouraged me to challenge myself in creating a 3-year graduation plan, in which the teachers will also cooperate with me in order for me to do so.
