I liked Annandale High School because of how diverse it is. This makes me feel more included and inspired being able to walk the halls and see people with different backgrounds than me and learning about them. It's made me more open-minded and see things from others perspectives. Annandale offers opportunities the previous school didn't including the teachers making a better connection with their students, wanting them to be involved, and prosper academically. Although Annandale is very good at encouraging their students to be involved, I wish clubs could do a better job at talking about how to participate in them and when meetings are ahead of time.I would love to be more involved by being in clubs but I can't as I usually find out about club interest meetings the day of. Due to this it doesn't give me time to prepare as I have after school activities like sports and other responsibilities involving family that I can't cancel the day of.

I really like the diversity at Annandale, no one is left out here. There are so many different cultures and ethnicities it's like the whole world in one place. I love my friends, and the teachers are really nice. The problem is that while the teachers are nice, they don't really know how to teach, or they only stick to one teaching method that is working for some students but not all. That is something that I think needs to change, the English and history departments are pretty good, but the Math and Science departments need some work.
The diversity is amazing in my opinion compared the neighboring high schools. I’ve always had good relations with the school counselors and teachers. The sports coaches are really fun to be around. Whenever I’ve been part of a club, I have always enjoyed it very much. I wish we had more teachers for math. I also wish we had our gym updated. There is a new policy in some of the FCPS schools that makes students check in to stations with teacher monitors if we are even 2 seconds late to class. This causes students to be even more late which is very aggravating and I think is useless to those who are practically on time.
