Ankeny Christian Academy Reviews
Going to Ankeny Christian was a very good school, but had it’s flaws. I would like to see the school give scholarships to kids who can not afford a private education. The school has good teachers who offer a good education and want to see the students succeed. However, I would like to see the school offer more college classes for college credit. The school also needs to offer more advanced classes for the kids who are ahead.
It's terrific! As a student, I see what goes on in the school and I strongly believe that ACA is the greatest private school in the state! We have great teachers that want a strong relationship with you and want you to succeed. We also have great athletic opportunities! The number 1 thing at the school though is how everything is based around Christianity!
Amazing high school!! They offer all kinds of sports, and teach through a christian point of view. I am a student who has attended ACA for 11 years now, and not once have I ever considered leaving. I am involved in three sports, drama, NHS, and student council. ACA gives students the opportunity to be prepared for college.
It has a family like atmosphere, I've gone here since kindergarten, and am graduating now, so quite a long time!
I loved the family atmosphere at ACA. The class sizes are on the small end, and this gives students a great opportunity to not only build strong relationships with one another, but to also build relationships with the teachers as well. One thing that could be done differently at ACA is a more relaxed dress code, but this is a very minor critique. Overall, my experience at this school was wonderful.
Ankeny Christian Academy is a great experience for all ages. It offers a great education with even better teachers. The teachers offer excellent one on one help outside of class and are always ready to help. The small class sizes make for a much better learning environment. I would like to see more students choose Ankeny Christian Academy for their education.
The school is a very safe place.
Since the school is so small, there are not as many resources available.
They have sports teams but almost no other clubs or organizations.
It prepared me for college classes but not as much real world experience.
The policies are very clear, and the administration makes sure to enforce them.
We've had one child graduate from ACA and one still in attendance. We enrolled our daughter here after she suffered tremendous bullying in the public school system. She was safe and well-educated at ACA. When she graduated she had no trouble being admitted into college. We moved our son over in 8th grade and he loves it here. He is able to participate in sports and any other extra-curricular he is interested in. Students receive a solid education and biblical teaching by teachers who really care about and know them.
Parent involvement is a must. Supporting our school and it's teachers is a priority. Students are prepared to learn in a safe, disciplined and loving environment.
While this is a smaller, private school they do their best to offer clubs and extra-curricular activities that students find interesting and desirable. Everyone that works at ACA, the staff, teachers and administration, care deeply for their students and make it their goal to offer a high education that is also based in Biblical teaching.
