Overall my school is great! I made tons of friends and some of the teachers actually care about what the students learn and the way they learn. I was kind of disappointed on that at the beginning of the school year there was a lot of saying about "my door will always be open", "please email me if you need any help" and things like that, but when a student needed help everyone was to busy or they would send you to get the answer somewhere else. Beautiful school a lot of great staff to be honest and great clubs!

Well this school is lacking in so many aspects of education and control but when you spend time here you stop looking at the negative stuff and you look ways to improve the school. Even though many people say this school is easy to pass and all this other stuff i can tell you that its different on an AP or dual credit level. And because of all this lack of communication and other stuff you learn that, if you need anything here you have to look for it yourself and pressure this administers to get the stuff you need done.
In my years at Dekaney High school, I have experienced first hand what is wrong with this campus. This school has a very hostile environment, with continuous fights. The majority of the students are actually not bad, but there is a handful of toxic kids who are always disrupting the peace. Teachers at Dekaney High do not care about the students education, only about their own paycheck. On the contrary, if you are involved in some kind of activity like I was, you are more focused and have less opportunities to get distracted. In conclusion, the people you hang around can have a significant impact on your experience, so choose wisely and try to stay away from the wrong crowd.
