I have been at APHS for all four years of high school. I have participated in various clubs and activities while I've been there and it's been enjoyable! Teachers are pretty cool and you can definitely form great bonds with them. One of my favorite things about Andrada is the CTE courses, we are so lucky as students to have pathways available to us and great teachers to guide us.

Andrada is a high school like none other in the Vail School District. The teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful. However, academic wise the substitute teachers usually do not enjoy their job. The school is overcrowded and the food is not the best. The school has 2 block periods during lunch that provides students who need to go to reteach or acidemic overtime time during their lunch block. Overall, my experience at Andrada has been a positive one and I have made a lot of friends, not only with the students but with the staff. I would defiantly recommend enrolling in Andrada Polytechnic High School, just remember to bring your own lunch!
I enjoyed my high school experience overall, however, because my school was so small, we didn't have our own individual sports team or marching band or anything like that. We were a very non-traditional high school. This means that the students were able to earn some sort of certification to be able to join the workforce right after graduation. I enjoyed this because of the things I got to learn about genetics and some forensic science. I earned a certification to be able to work in a lab. Due to this being a newer school, we had a lot fewer students than any of the other schools in the Vail school district. There was also the policy of trying to teach the students about time management with our "free period" which is where we were able to do homework, or just relax between classes. This put the responsibility on us, but it caused a lot of students to lose motivation.
