I really enjoy the hybrid model of Andover eCademy. I am able to complete most of my work on my own, but there are teachers and other resources available at the brick-and-mortar building if I ever need any help. Since I am able to work at my own pace, I have a lot more time for outside activities, including gymnastics, which I practice 24 hours each week. The staff is very friendly and truly holds the best interests of each student at heart. All of my teachers have responded to emails and other outreach within a few days and offered helpful information that will help me succeed in my courses. I have really enjoyed attending Andover eCademy throughout my high school years!
Truth be known...I have never really loved school. The thought of having to sit in a classroom on someone else's schedule for seven hours a day has made me cringe since I was a small child. I used to keep all my anger and frustrations bottled up inside during the day and then, as my mom says "come home and explode on her".
The Ecademy changed my life, and I am a much happier person because of it. Removing the boundaries of a classroom and having a set schedule have allowed me to thrive and find other interests The Ecademy allowed me to learn on my own time, decompress when I needed to and gave me the freedom to adjust my schedule for family vacations and basketball tournaments. My experience has not been easy, but I always felt supported by the teachers, counselors and Mr. Templin, our Principal. They allowed me to make mistakes, but were always there to help when I veered off course. I will always be thankful for the non-traditional setting Ecademy offered me to succeed.

As a current student at Andover, I've been enjoying the flexibility and opportunities that come with online school. The core class teachers are great and communication has never been an issue. Overall, it's a good school for those who want to try out a blended setting.
