My experience at Anderson New Tech really changed my life, and I have never regretted attending this school despite the academic challenges that came with it. They focus on the development of essential skills that students will need in the future, such as collaboration, public speaking, communication, and more. They teach students how to be effective workers and I'm amazed at how much I have changed during my four years at New Tech. I went from a rebellious, shy yet stubborn child who couldn't speak in front of others to save her life, to a mostly-confident senior that can speak in front of crowds almost too easily. While this school does push students harder for academic excellence, i'm glad they do. The teachers at this school are amazing, and are always available to one-on-one help with students. This school has a pretty accepting culture and prepares you a lot for post-high school life and college readiness, which I have appreciated a lot my senior year.
I truly believe that Anderson New Technology High School is preparing me for my future in ways that I would not be able to find in another, more traditional high school. The school's culture is fantastic, and it always feels like a close family every time that you walk through the front door. The staff there is absolutely incredible, and always available to help whenever, and with whatever you need. They are fully invested in the future of their students, and again, make the school feel like a supportive family. The academics of this school far surpass those of other schools that I have attended, with a larger course load and more strenuous work.
