At Anderson, our teachers go out of their way to make sure students are not only learning but having fun. A few teachers in particular have started clubs with students in a way to get more students together outside of school. For example, a few of our teachers have started clubs such as Hiking Club, Skiing and Snowboarding club, Key club, Surf Club (only school in the north state that offers such a thing) etc. Because of all of the support form our staff, more and mores students are becoming more engaged in what we call our "Cub Family".

With broken and, in some parts, very uneven pavement and scraggly dead tree branches ominously looming above, a student might feel quite nervous walking to class in a storm not sure as to whether he or she should watch up or down as he or she goes. Once in class, said student would likely enjoy the class discussion as the teachers are exceptionally down to earth and very eager to assist with any assignments or homework that one may have difficulty with. When this commenter attended this school, she felt very included among her peers and did quite nicely in her school work. However, it was her experience during senior year that she could not quite as much get the help she desired for college applications or financial aid from the counselors there and had to instead search elsewhere for it. Overall Anderson has its issues but is a very friendly environment for the typical high schooler to accomplish high school credits and make friendships and memories. A U H S C U B S!!! ??
My high school experience was good. The extracurricular activities were fun. The only thing I would change is the food, I think the cafeteria ladies should eat the food that they make.
