Ancona School Reviews

Ancona is an extrAordinary school. It is beautifully diverse, with outstanding academics and a strong social/emotional learning tradition. The community is very supportive. One of my childrens’ favorite aspects is the amazing travel/camping program. This is a gem!

Ancona School does a great job tapping into the whole of a child, pulling out those abilities, and shaping the child based on how he/she learns. Ancona also understands the importance of diversity, inclusion, and representation which is modeled in the staff as well as the student population. Parent support and participation is also very high. And, students have a very diverse curriculum that includes art, language, music, and an annual week-long trip to Mexico.
Ancona is the most amazing, yet 'unknown', school in Chicago! Ask teachers and administrators (and high school admissions directors of top high schools!!) in Chicago, and they will all tell you how wonderful Ancona is for elementary and middle school. Ancona's weakness is their inability to truly market how amazing their school truly is. Ancona is what school SHOULD be for all-fun, engaging, challenging, inclusive, nurturing....
