AUP is a school that I cherish a lot, not because of the school itself but because of the community. My experience has been a rollercoaster. AUP is still in its developing years where as of right now all they are doing is trying to find structure, consistency, and a way to create a brand for themselves. However, the idea that the school administration and board members try to find a solution to these things they are in search for has been a complete failure. Not only has it become detrimental to the school itself but to those who are sheltered in it. My experience has been a decent one because I have made it one for myself, but until the school becomes an environment that isn't such power and money hungry, I would not recommend it to anyone just yet. If the school figures out what they are aiming for as an institution and find people who care and are willing to stay for the long run, that's when they will thrive and I hope to see this happen shortly.

AUP is a great boarding preparatory school located right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Top notch academics and students get to have a cultural experience like no other. Los Angeles is part of the experience!
Administration in this school is severely corrupted and are threatening student's health and leadership. The school disbanded the Associated Student Body, which is extremely important for student activities to function. Because ASB no longer exists, student clubs does not function properly and all the school events are now cancelled. Furthermore, every dedicated teachers and faculty who were eager to educate us were either left the school or got fired. Then the school replaced high-class teachers to a basic level teacher who never had an experience teaching in a high school environment, which significantly lowered down the quality of education. The quality of education, therefore, definitely doesn't worth the tuition at all. Because of the poor condition the school administration made, I lost my identity as of being a high school student. If the administration continues to operate school like now, the school will definitely cease to exist very soon.
