I really love how kind the students and staff are. I wish though that they would have better teachers for the math department and that they would be more up to date with the way they teach. The arts program is fantastic! Specifically their choral and orchestra programs. Overall a great school, I would recommend.
American Heritage School, the teachers are amazing, they care a lot about the students and are willing to bend over backwards for them, but of course it all depends. The Science department is not as much like that. They are still outstanding teachers that really know their subject, but they are less willing to help the students that are in need. I wish the school teachers gave you less homework though. American heritage is an amazing school, with good teachers, but they give you more homework THAN MOST colleges/ and universities. The work load is insane. When I was there they gave me around 4-5 hours of homework a night. May I add I was not taking any advanced or honor classes. If you want difficulty then this school is for you. If not, you should probably look into other options. Overall, American Heritage is an extremely difficult school, with good teachers! I promise you, you will learn way more than the average person at any other school.
We love American Heritage School! Our daughter has been attending AHS for three years now. When she first transferred to AHS from a public school she was behind academically. However, with the help of AHS teachers and special programs, she advanced quickly. She has not only advanced academically, but her self-esteem and spirituality have increased as well. For one example, in her 6th grade year she created a PowerPoint slideshow by herself and gave a 15 minute presentation to her class. These children are given opportunities that they would most likely not have elsewhere. These are just a few of the reasons why we love AHS and recommend it highly to others.
