American Christian Academy has given me a better experience in primary AND secondary school than I ever could have dreamed of. The two athletics teams I was part of maintained a great balance between enjoyable and competitive, the clubs and organizations were plentiful, and the students were extremely kind (OF COURSE we didn't all get along...it IS high school we're talking about here; nonetheless, I had barely any problems at all with students and it was a rarity when major issues did occur between students). The most impressive and unique aspect of ACA in my opinion is the teachers. They are incredibly passionate about what they do and are very caring and understanding toward their students, and it makes such an impact. As for academics themselves, the math and science departments need some work; however, the English department is top notch. The biblical education was also phenomenal, especially once I got into the upper grades and we began to dabble in apologetics.
ACA is like a family. The students, parents and the teachers work together to create a fantastic and safe learning environment. There are extra curricular activities for all. From sports, to music, to robotics there are many options. They travel and this provided opportunities for students and families to bond and learn more about the world in which we are apart. They are focused on education as well as developing character. College and career readiness is outstanding. The kids are friends and include everyone. They are very accepting of each other’s differences. It’s a safe environment where the children don’t even have to lock their lockers. The athletic facilities are top notch. There is a dress code but uniforms are not required. It is a Christian school and the students attend chapel weekly.
I have been at ACA for 14 years alongside, my twin brother. Each year my famioy and I are amazed with the leadership and Christlike image protrayed with education, in comparison with our friends and family that have children that attend public schools in our area. I feel very blessed and grateful to attend ACA without fear, knowing that we are safe and daily lead to be soldiers for Christ, thru learning, although the same as in public schools We are stress-free of physical fightS, cursing and known illegal drug use I have grown in the Lord. I appreciative to my parents efforts to keep us enrolled. God made monetary provisions to keep us in ACA, family oriented with Christian values taught and demonstrated Our 14 years of schooling.
