At American Academy, we have been educating advanced students with mild learning differences throughout South Florida for over 55 years. We are proud of how our program has evolved into the only school that integrates the academics, fine arts, and athletics to the extent that we do, which makes us known throughout the nation and the world.
American Academy students thrive in our well-rounded program that focuses on the whole child. We offer a comprehensive fine arts and athletics program that complements classroom learning and offers the opportunity to explore interests and discover hidden talents. American Heritage/Academy School in Boca/Delray is a school who delivers a safe environment with an outstanding education. The teachers excel at what they do and my children look forward to going to school every day! The teachers have always made my children feel valued and respected. The administrators and teachers always have a smile on their faces and during this unique time period, that has not changed. I commend the school and its staff for rising above and beyond and making our school an incredible place to be. The teachers are creative when they deliver curriculum and my children feel confident when learning. Not all schools are created equal! We are very grateful to be part of this incredible institution.
We are eternally grateful to have had our sons attend the Academy/American Heritage of Boca Delray. At the time that we made the decision to enroll our eldest son, it was becoming more evident that in order for him to be successful academically we needed to make a change in his learning environment. The Academy had the resources, ESE certified teachers including a reading specialist and a low teacher to pupil ratio. It just seemed like the right fit! I remember during the admission process my husband said that whatever it takes for us to send him to AHS we would do so that our son could gain confidence and be successful. We are proud to say that both of our sons graduated from the Academy; one in 2014 and the youngest in 2019. Watching our children grow at AHS and go on to college has been so rewarding to our family. Having our children attend American Heritage was one of the best decisions we ever made and we will always be grateful to the Academy program at AHS.
The best thing about American Heritage Boca/Delray is the college preparation that it gives students. I am currently a junior and feel very ready to tackle the difficult college admissions process. Our school provides us many information sessions and useful outside resources to help us with the process. Additionally, the wide variety of challenging courses here prepares us to succeed in college. I am very glad I decided to attend this school!
