Amador High School brings lots of diverse educational and career opportunities. It has FFA (Future Farmers of America) that provides lots of different agricultural classes such as Floral Design and Metal Working. The sports here; (although not very high ranking) are very diverse as well. From trapshooting to skiing and snowboarding, it is hard not to find something you can participate in. The school district also provides free bus transportation as well as a very friendly staff.

I love the welcoming atmosphere. I transferred Junior year completely terrified but all of the students and staff really helped integrate me into the school. The people are genuine and I created lasting friendships which many people can't say about their high school experience. The first day of school, a teacher already knew my name and asked how was my first day...I wasn't just a number at this school. Overall, this school is full of kindness and people that put the time/effort into helping.
This school puts little effort into the arts and the students and teachers in those classes have to fight to keep them almost every year with essentially no budget while the sports programs are constantly getting funded. The bus situation is also less than ideal, cramming kids 3 to a seat and a couple in the aisle just for 1 route. Beyond that, many of the people here (students and staff) are conservative, so it can be hard for members of the lgbt community to feel welcome.
