Highschool was rough at first especially coming from a catholic private school not knowing anyone. Then of course the pandemic got in the way. But when I returned I found a great group of friends and started to come into my own. The majority of the teachers I have had have been willing to help me and extremely knowledgeable on their subject. I have thoroughly enjoyed my high school sports experience. I have made lifelong friends on my teams. The coaches are amazing and put their athletes first. My school has also has given me many opportunities other schools don't have. This is because of the CTE program. It has given me a chance to have hands on real life experience learning. All in all my high school experience has been great!
The teachers are amazing people, even those that people hate are good and fun to be around, just suck at teaching. The students generally are bratty and dramatic at the most, but that is to be expected. The biggest problem with this school is the people running it. They single handedly bring the score down by two because it almost appears as if they hire the most idiotic people to make the worst possible decisions. I'm not even talking about just the school system. The state also kinda screws crap up too. From not thinking about funding when making a class required to controlling their built in study system poorly. Also, their wifi like breaking down once a week.
Alvirne High School has preparatory classes for an unmatched amount of career fields. I have taken interest in the veterinary science course and am even eligible to earn college credit for the program I'm involved in. There is a class for everyone here, and if a student is unsure of what career field they wish to go into, they can take multiple "feeder" classes to get a feel for it. I'm currently a junior, and as a freshman I took canine science. That class is what caught my interest for the veterinary field. Alvirne is truly full of unique opportunities, as well as a huge variety of clubs and the only on-campus high school farm and kennel in New Hampshire.
