Great academics, the teachers cared about their own students. Very diverse culture, not too many bullies. I don’t really pay a lot attention to the school board and how they work. I feel like they do care a lot about the students’ safety but I also feel like they also care about how the school would look to the public. But overall it is really great school, I’m very fortunate to have the accommodations that I needed, especially as a deaf student. I am satisfied with all my 4 years of learning at this school. Everyone is very friendly, not always friendly, this school is very welcoming and open for those students who can feel at safe and comfortable at where they are.
Alton High School is a very friendly and diverse environment. Coming from another high school with no friends, I was able to transition at Alton High with no issues! I recommend this high school to anyone coming to the Alton School district. As an alumni, I miss every detail about this school.
