Alpha Omega Academy is a good homeschool program. The teachers are very pleasant and want to help in any way they can. I have been here for 2 years/4 semesters and I have not had any mean or snobby teachers. The curriculum is engaging and views things from a Christian worldview which is a positive. Sometimes I must admit that there are times when the science and math courses are not well explained, such as in Chemistry it can be a bit confusing. Another thing is that I think the teachers office hours are too few. There isn't really a school culture or sports (because it's homeschool) which is why I gave those 3 stars. Besides those, it's a good school.
I love aoa because it has helped me learn more about God and all that he has done and what he will do for me!!!
My children were previously in a private school (Christian). However with the pandemic and the concern of my children going to school in person, We decided to homeschool through AOA. Their previous school was a college prep. It all worked out because AOA is also college prep. My children wanted to be homeschool. The administrator and the advisors are great. The teacher's are wonderful. They called and checked on my children well being. It has been a pleasant Experience for the first time.
I do not recommend this school at all. I go to this school, they do not work with my schedule or even help me out a little. I have my own business, I don’t get off of work till night time. They assign so much work, and that’s not the bad part. They literally give you college level work. Don’t go here, you’ll waste time, money and an education. They rip you off, the English teacher is totally rude. She knows I work and she still assigns so much to do.
Alpha Omega Academy is an online academy that is full of teachers that are happy to help with any academic problem. The curriculum due dates are flexible, yet the content is structured and easy to understand. The advisors are there to make sure that students stay on track with their courses as well as answering all questions about scheduling. Alpha Omega Academy is a great school with wonderful teachers and advisors, who are ready to help with any academic related problems.
Alpha Omega Academy is a good school for getting a Christian high school education. It is a great way to get a private education and get it remotely. Online school is beneficial because it gives you the flexibility to do your school when you want to.
This school is really good, and the teachers are nice and respectful. The school work can be overwhelming at times, but the teachers would help make it easier. The only thing that is sub par about this school is the website. Sometimes the website would not load properly.
As a sophomore at AOA, I'm very happy with my education. The christian curriculum is still science based and not pushing the religion onto anyone. All the teachers I have had are kind, and put my mental health first. My principal is understanding, and always wants to know how she can help me more. The education coordinators and counselors will help you find the best courses to take. I've gone to this school since kindergarten and the tuition is worth every penny. There are two forms of learning: lifepac (books) or ignita, which is fully online. I do a mix of both, there are 10 units for a total year in each subject, and all testing is done online. There are clubs and extra classes and zoom meetings that you can attend to learn more.
Its great. The teachers are always in contact with you and you will always receive feedback and help from your teachers. You only have 1 assignment a day so you can focus on upcoming tests and quizzes.
Alpha Omega Academy (AOA) is an amazing online school. If you are homeschooling and want to take accredited high school classes, you should consider AOA. For each course, there is a teacher who is available to help you through tough concepts or projects, all you have to do is reach out and ask. They also have a wide range of interesting classes and electives to help give you a well rounded education.
The teachers I have had are merely there to grade. They have hardly done any teaching, and when they have, I was more confused after speaking with them than I was before. The curriculum is badly written, and way too hard. Their high school math and science material, especially in 11th and 12th grade, has college level material in it. If you want to have 4 miserable years of high school, go here, otherwise, choose a different school.
Alpha Omega Academy is overall a great experience for those looking for homeschooling! A great portion of the teachers are kind and willing to help you with whatever you need. The online student activities are often great ways to spend your time. Of course, the school is not perfect as there is always the odd teacher or lesson that seems poorly explained, but the good more than makes up for it.
Alpha Omega Academy was the best choice for me because I traveled a lot and it gave me the opportunity to make my own schedule. The teachers and the students are very friendly and supportive. I would 100% recommend AOA to everyone from grades 1-12 who would want to get a good education from a christian perspective.
Alpha Omega was a great online school that taught me a lot about discipline and time management. The administrators were very accommodating and helpful. Throughout my three years attending this school, I was able to learn all of the necessary tools that I needed to be successful in college!
I was a student at Alpha Omega Academy for the past two years and enrolling at AOA was the best decision of my life. It is extremely easy to contact the teachers and they are always willing to help in any possible way. The school offers a big variety of classes to choose from which helped me to find what I am truly passionate about and helped me decide what career path to follow.
I love Alpha Omega Academy! It allows for my schooling to be flexible, and I can take it with me when I travel or babysit late into the evenings. I would love to see an open online whiteboard for math help specifically going all-day. So it would be easier and better to get math help.
AOA operates like a cut throat corporation rather than a Christian organization. One hand does not speak to the other. They mismanaged our intake information so badly that it resulted in a total lack of effective communication. They operate so that you only have one person to go to when you have any questions, and if that person does not respond, your on you own. Our point of contact, Tasha Morales, never responded to us in a timely fashion and it resulted in revealing the flaws in their archaically structured organization. This 'gate keeper' system leaves with no recourse when your assigned teacher does not return phone calls, emails, or parent portal inquiries. They need an overhaul and they need to operate by the standards that they claim to uphold. The only good thing that came from this experience was that we found an online Christian school that surpasses them in every way.
