I like my school because they have an emphasis on preparing students to become college-ready students. As a result, the students have access to many resources like being well-informed about the college process, having tutoring each week, and establishing close bonds to the staff. At this school, it is easy to form and join a club. Additionally, if a student is interested in changing some school policies, such as asking for better school lunches, the principal will listen to you and take your suggestion with great consideration, and perhaps come up with a compromise. The one negative is that if you're an athlete, be aware that for some sports, practices may take place outside of school since we do not have a 'traditional' campus with a football field and a basketball court. Overall, ESAT is a decent school.

Environmental Science and Technology High School, otherwise known as simply ESAT has gone through some interesting changes throughout the years. A turn of hats was all the school needed to really make some progressive school politics. Most of the problems the school faces can be brought back to the old administration, but as of now the school has, active sheriff on campus, a police and fire department a block away, and one of the most exciting features of free food. This was not always the case, and students found themselves not eating for the weeks to come. Students can find themselves with access to, at least one counselor, free condoms, free pads, and free food. Students can use their phones outside of the classroom now, which personally has proven to be a life saver, as before students would either break some rules, or not come to school if they needed something from home. All teachers provide a weekly tutoring, some even doing Saturday classes. It's a great education for many.
What I like about ESAT is that they actually want to see us succeed. I have friends in other schools and they mentioned that their schools don't really talk about college and how they only talk to those who they see potential in. At ESAT High school, they talk to everyone and we go over every college optional that is a perfect fit for us. The sports isn't that good and I wanna see that change because sports is part of a high school experience and I want kids to experience it. Yes although ESAT is a small school and we're mostly an academic school, ESAT is an amazing place to learn with the amazing teachers and staff. They're so dedicated to the students and want to see them succeed.
