The school is much smaller than your typical high school, however, what they lack in space they make up for in academics. The school really strives for students to become college-ready and even assist their students in any way possible throughout their academics. There have been many college courses offered by the counselors that the students can take after school to earn college credit, which I myself have taken advantage of as well! The teachers are very supportive and wish for their students to succeed, with such a small student body, teachers are able to work more closely with students.

A few weeks ago my parents were planning to move to Las Vegas, besides Vegas being known as the Sin City, it is not as recognizable for its schools either. I began to research schools in Las Vegas and I noticed every school is rated mostly an average 8, there were only 3 schools that scored a 10 and even then I would not want to move schools because I know this school offers help to students. Some may say that the school might 'baby' or spoon feed its students, but this school actually prepares each and every student by making them reach their goal. Every student leaves this school with a GPA of 2.7 or higher, most of the time, and DOES graduate, going off to some of the best Universities or colleges. Alliance Judy Ivie Burton Technology does not leave any student behind and the experience here is lovely, every teacher and staff member makes effort to know your name! It welcomes everyone to its family.
As I current student at this school, my opinion may seem very biased. Nevertheless, I have seen and heard about other schools and I want to approach this in neutral stand point. The school is very small which helps make sure students are in class and that teachers are able to get to know their students better. When it comes to privacy, the school and staff member are excellent with that, however, rumors and such spread quickly. Academically, the school ensures and highly encourage students to pursue a profession or degree. Most of the senior who graduated last year, were accepted into a 4 year college/university. The school's alliance provide a standards on their own which push students for success. One of the biggest down fall of this school would have to be the lack of a gym and decent school lunches.
