Gertz Ressler High School is a challenging school but with that, it comes with its perks. Every student is challenged in each course to learn more than just steps but apply what they have learned to the real world. They have many resources for you to achieve your academics sucesses. They are very strict with passing your classes which helps ensure a passing frade in the class. Everyone who leaves off to college or university comes back saying that Gertz prepared them for an essay ride to college.

A little too strict on the uniform policies as far as detailed uniform requirements (i.e solid brown, black, white shoes only- no designs or logos allowed, official school sweaters, hats, jackets & polos only-no "skinny" jeans). Uniforms should be the least of a concern but as a student it bothered me very much & every other student I'm sure. The teachers, staff and education there was beyond especially since they provide free trips for students in good standing to colleges (dorm overnight) and also allow you to venture into the surrounding area for a fun trip. My little brother will now attend there this Fall! By the way I would say 99% of the graduating class go to a college/university.
Although this school may be stict, it is a good school to attend. Every single teacher at this school cares bout each student's education. Teachers will make sure that their student's understand everything that is being taught to them. I feel safe in this school, it is well protected. Whenever school events happen, many students participates in them. Every teacher offers tutoring for an hour. If a student is failing any class, they will have automatically tutoring. Teachers don't do this for punshment, they do it because they want to help students raise up their grades. This school works with Fulfillment Fund, which is a program that helps students with college. Not many schools have these types of program, some students have to do their college application alone and with no help. However in this school, we have counselors and the Fulfillment Fund that help us apply to Fafsa, Grants, scholarships, and colleges/universities. My overall expierence was good.
