Being a new kid at school is hard but being new as a senior is even harder. As part of the soccer team at Allentown High School, I was never treated like the new kid. My teammates and coach were so welcoming and made me feel like I was part of the team for all four years. I wound up having such a great time at my new school. I like how the classes are challenging and there is a large variety to choose from. When changes had to be made to my schedule my guidance counselor was very helpful and accommodating. I love this school. My only complaint is that I didn’t go here for all four years. Go Redbirds!

Allentown has great teachers, faculty and administration. The high school well prepares its students for their future, wether it's college or not. The town is very nice and everyone is involved in the community which makes the school feel closer together. The downsides are that the school is pretty old and it could use many updates, such as the auditorium, a better air conditioning system, and a few other small things. The seniors have a very nice cafeteria and 6th hall and the office are very new and nice. The school is a combination of students from Allentown, Millstone, Trenton, and even some from Hamilton. Students will meet a lot of new kids.
good school, staff needs to listen to students more and understand their needs and concerns rather than ignoring them. STEM programs are pretty good. The PLTW program is a good program to get students involved in STEM majors, but needs more faculty. One person teaching all PLTW classes is not enough especially when they also have other after school obligations to tend to and don't put enough attention to the student's work and learning. The football team and games are overrated and boring, the principle pours all the athletic funding into the football team for some reason, leaving little money for other sports, which leads to old uniforms, poor athletic facilities, and low team spirit.
