Allentown Central Catholic High School is like a second home to me. I’ve made amazing memories and friends while being here. They also challenge me in all of my academics so that I’m never bored and if I need help, I’m always able to find a teacher who can help because they all care! It gave me a place to calm down when I’m stressed like the chapel. The food is also A-MAZING, and as a bonus we probably have the best cookies in the valley! I love my school and I’m proud to call myself a Vikette!
The last four years at Allentown Central Catholic High School have been filled with many challenges and memories for a lifetime. The teachers care about their students’ success and want them to thrive. The school offers a range of academics to all students’ interests. Each course challenges students to be prepared for their next steps towards college and universities. Whether the class is CP, Honors or AP, the coursework is challenging. In my experience , I believe I am on my way to being ready for the next four years on my own in college. I feel that I was prepared well for the coursework ahead. Extra curricular activities provided me with experience to reach out to other students and really connect. Service hours were required for each student providing them with the ability to connect with the Allentown community in service projects. Whether it be volunteering at community dinners or the local Boys and Girls Club, the opportunities were there to connect.
When I first walked into ACCHS as a freshman, one of the first things I heard from the staff and student leaders was that we were a family. Originally, I saw this as poor marketing. Now, going into my senior year, I can now share that same statement out of sincerity to any new student. It truly is a family. Students involved in sports show up to support the drama and dance productions, some even participate in them as well. Even though the students come from all ethnicities and religions, everyone works together to share about their beliefs, respecting the opinions of those who don't agree. The academics are challenging, demanding that a student take charge of their own education and apply themselves in preparation for college. ACCHS is truly a family. Teachers take time out of their day to listen if you need to talk and will support you through anything. I would highly recommend ACCHS to any hardworking student ready to start a new chapter of their life.
