Alice L. Smith Elementary School Reviews

The teachers, for the most part, are nice. I dont know them all so I can't say all of them are. However we have noticed that some of the teachers fall victim to cliques despite their intentions. They tend to favor the "popular" and clique-y groups which is sad because those children learn that it's acceptable behavior while others learn that they can't actually trust all adults to be fair even if they are teachers.
We also see the curriculum focus more on reading/writing and mathematics than anything else. Science, art, social studies and P.E. are more of an after thought. Forms of standardized testing are ridiculously common and happen several times a year.
Unfortunately, this is common for the district unless you are able to get in to a charter school and half those are set up like prisons.
