I am happy to return to school. Distance learning was hard, working with computer caused pain for eyes and fingers. I could understand the online lessons, but it was easier when we had face-to-face meetings with the teacher. One more thing I am happy about is to see my friends, meet new teachers. If the lessons were distance again, we won't have a chance to get introduced with teachers. We have new teachers this year." Breaks are shortened and we have to wash our hands many times. Also, you are not allowed to lend something to others. I am carrying water in the bottle as the water dispensers are turned off. Still, it’s good to go to school. We are repeating the materials from the previous year and I understand everything better in class than on the online lesson. We have a new game called “Coronobana” – it’s like a game of catch."
University Academy is by far the best private institution in Central Louisiana! Mrs. Loyd (Director/Principal) is a true visionary who possesses an uncompromising desire to see each and every student succeed not only on an academic level, but also personally. Ms. Loyd’s heart is filled with love and compassion for all of her students, as well as her staff. The teachers are kind and always willing to discuss any concerns. The smaller class sizes offer an intimate setting where children feel extremely comfortable and eager to learn. The teachers care, and it’s obvious. My child loves UA just as much as I do. We are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school! #WeAreUA
UA is by far the best school is Central Louisiana for college readiness. Located on site on LSUA campus, students in grades 9-12 take classes with actual college professors, among other college students, on campus. Students have the opportunity and have successfully graduated with associate's degrees from LSUA. There is no better college readiness experience than actually taking college classes with UA faculty and teacher's support. Add a 4 day school week, tons of sports and club opportunities, and fantastic academics and you simply get a great, home-like school for grades 7-12. As a junior, I have been active in at least 3 clubs a year every year since I've been at UA, and am more than on track to get my associate's. Small teacher to student ratios make everyone familiar with each other and a better learning experience. The UA Lion family is truly the best in the area.
