Parent of multiple AA alums. It is an excellent school for college readiness, particularly considering it's located in a state rated 49th in Education in the nation. Biggest disappointment is the real lack of interest in equity, inclusion and diversity issues by head of school, trustees, some parents and some faculty--very elitist. A tour of campus clearly shows their statistic of 51% students of color claim is disingenuous. Sad, considering the geographic proximity to such rich cultural heritage in the American Southwest!

Academy. Where to start. While most students dread waking up in the morning to get to school, Academy students are the exact opposite. Coming to school is an opportunity every day for us to learn and prepare ourselves for the future ahead. We have an amazing campus with spectacular teachers and facilities, and all teachers and coaches ensure that students have a good work ethic and balance. Instead of piling us with homework, they understand the students ability, and they take care of students with pride, all while making sure that all the kids are being pushed to the best of their abilities.

Sports at the Academy are very important to all students and teachers. While being supportive, all coaches and fellow athletes make sure that athletes work hard and practice proficiently. All coaches are supportive and understanding, and have proven to be some of the best in the state.
Honestly a very good school but not worth the tuition. There are some good public schools in the area, consider them because you will save some serious money for college. Classes are challenging, extracurriculars are diverse, and most people are pretty competitive yet humble and easygoing. Sports, especially swimming, soccer, cross country, and track are top in the state. I graduated in May 2019 and as far as I know, the computer science department is lacking. I wish there were engineering /design classes that got into hardware and robotics. Solid diversity for a private school. Top-Notch facilities.
