The school has a friendly family atmosphere. The class sizes are relatively small (20-25). The academic program is rigorous compared to local public schools. Teachers can be very demanding, even with online learning during the pandemic. The school has a full athletics program, with girl's basketball and soccer being what the school is best known for. But other athletic teams have been very successful. You definitely get what you pay for when you attend Albertus Magnus and the school has been successful in placing students in a very wide variety of colleges and universities. I would defeinitely recommend the school.
Albertus Magnus is the catholic high school in Rockland County, New York. Albertus creates a sense of community with its students making them all feel important. The teachers know everyone by name even if they have never taught them. With the student body being around 500 students you will never feel like a nameless face in the hallway. Although Albertus is considered a sports orientated school, it also prepares its students immensely for their future. Albertus offers many advanced classes to prepare you for college. Students are very active in clubs, nobody in Albertus is "an 8 to 2 er" as our old principal Mr. Troy use to say. All students do community service which teaches us to appreciate what we have. Many students go on to play in college after they have successful seasons in their sport at Albertus. Albertus not only creates a sense of unity within the school but in its surrounding community. At Albertus everyone truly believes that they belong here!
Albertus Magnus High School helped me improve and achieve goals i thought were never possible. The friendly community the school has where everyone knows everyone and are there to help each other, the outstanding academics and college readiness it provides, the amazing teachers and administration whom i will never forget. They are there to always help and guide you and stay after school and before school to help you and push you to achieve. The many clubs, sports and music and arts the school provides and of course the delicious food. As for improvement, i do not see anything the school must improve on, my peers and i have had an amazing experience and education from the school.
