Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School Reviews

2 reviews
Well rounded education with extremely dedicated teachers. School was small enough that everyone knows everyone else and is willing to help out. Jewish education was superior to every other school in the area. As for secular education, by 5th grade my daughter could write entire research papers with footnotes and bibliographies on her own. Since it is an individualized curriculum she was able to move freely about in different subjects without worrying about what her peers were studying, and like many kids, she was ahead in some areas and at grade level in others. She felt very safe at Akiba and like she was part of something bigger than herself. She left with a very good sense of ethics and of right and wrong in the larger world.

Akiba has helped me grow in many ways. I have been going to Akiba since kindergarten, and my time there is coming to an end. I have learned to read Hebrew and write an essay thanks to Akiba. Akiba gave me a great Jewish education and taught me to dig deeper in my Jewish beliefs.
