Air Academy is a unique and familiar school at the same time; being on the Air Force Academy is strange but unique and creates a culture unlike any other school. I have found that students, faculty and alumni are all proud of being a part of the school, and the history runs deep. The vast majority teachers are willing to put in extra help for students and try to create a 1 on 1 experience that is excellent. Teams from soccer to girls lacrosse to basketball have won state championships and just last year Katie Rainsberger was the best girls Cross Country Runner in the country. Parent Involvement is incredible, and seeing where Air Academy Students have gone to college proves just how great the school is!

Air Academy HS has a wide variety of academic/elective classes available to its students, with an equally varying amount of success with students and teachers. The custodians do well with keeping the school clean. Many rooms still have asbestos in ceiling. The school recently received more funding via the district, which is in the process of paying for renovations to building 'B', and the purchase of two wall screens titled "Skool" that are turned off during school hours due to distrust in the students by the admin- a more effective use of that money would have been renovating and repairing the school bathrooms (one of which is missing walls between toilets, part of why the school obtained money in the first place). In general, the school is serviceable, providing the advanced students the best education they can offer- A fact that is difficult to extend to students who are not on the advanced track, due to a divide between the "graduation" and "college" pathways the school suggests.
The extracurricular opportunities at this school is spectacular! They have a fair in the beginning of the first semester each year to introduce you to all sorts of clubs and organizations and clubs and offer you to sign up. Most of this clubs are available because the schools' unique period called "Academy time" which is a free block for about 40 minutes. This may also include tutoring and homework time. There is also a wide variety of sports offered in both semester that you can choose to join along with campion winning teams such as boys soccer, girls cross country and the Air Academy marching band.
