Ada Elementary School Reviews
Again, it is a small school with a limited staffing. This means there is the bear minimum on class offerings. However, there are some better classes. Physics is offered, as well as two different chemistry courses, there is an anatomy and physiology course, and the math goes up to Calculus, Spanish and French are/were offered. There is also the option of going to the local University (Ohio Northern University) to take a class. Unfortunately there is little higher level courses, such as AP, Ada only offers US History and Composition and Literature as AP courses.
Because it is a small school there isn't that much bullying. Everybody knows everybody, and everybody's parents knew everybody's parents. If there was bullying, it was squashed with a phone call early on.
Most of the after school activities are sports teams or music related. There is also language club, quiz bowl and FFA. These programs however are pretty good in their own right. It would have been nice to have had more different opportunities outside of class to join different clubs.
There are some professors that go above and beyond what is expected of them. It is a small school so several are required to teach a lot of classes. For example, one professor teaches Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry and Physics, another teaches 7th grade science and 8th grade English, and so on. Many are also the sports coaches, the band director is the golf coach, the high school art teacher is the junior high quiz bowl coordinator, the history teacher is an assistant coach for football, and so on.
