Coming into Achievement First Endeavor Middle School in 5th grade, I experienced a weird structure of learning. Having to adjust coming from a public school into a charter school, which was hard. The education I can say was spectacular though, learning history from Ancient Egypt to World War 2, experiencing lectures help set me up for high school. However, high school was very different for me. I felt like behavior was being priotized above education and pertaining the knowledge. When it came to what I wanted to do in life, which is be a fashion designer, it was very hard to balance that life and my school life. I felt like Achievement First Brooklyn High School could've offered classes targeting what they want to do when they get older. This could help with setting everyone up for success and helping everyone get to college, since some individuals tend to find no need for college.
I liked the relationships I built with my teachers and how they always take students' opinions when we strongly disagree with something. I also loved all the fun trips that was planned and how the teachers made sure that all of their students pass the state test.
Achievement First Endeavor was a good school, I gt a great education, but also i learned more about real world interactions like having self-control and the appropriate way to react to certain situations. I learned these skills in Endeavor and I am glad that I was taught this in middle school because knowing the appropriate way to react is really important.
