Hello, my name is Alexis Hart and I attended Acadiana High School 2018-2022. I honestly can say that I loved the environment and atmosphere Acadiana high offered. With strict rule our school felt like a safe place for me to learn and grow. That being said I was able to take college courses, multiple AP classes, and their are countless extracurricular activities. I participated in the volleyball and soccer programs during my time here. My teammates and coaches made my high school experiences the best they could possibly be. If I could go back I definitely would and I recommend this school to any and everyone in the Lafayette parish school district. I was a member of the Acadiana High Business Academy all four years. This program strengthened my communication skills tremendously. Although I feel as if the bathroom policies could be adjusted this school should be ranked #1 in our parish.
My highschool experience so far is okay. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst and this was all due to the pandemic. My freshman year I had the best time ever. The school spirit was everything and my teachers were good too but it all got cut short. My sophomore year was online. Junior was just wearing mask and social distancing. My senior year just started and everything is starting to come back. Hopefully, I can have an amazing year like my freshman year. Acadiana could use some improve with the strictness on the dress code and the food. Other than that I would say everything is good.
My experience at Acadiana High school was nothing short of special. I came in as a wide eyed freshman with dreams of going to a great college, and pursuing my medical dreams. The staff there is extremely helpful and always wants their students to succeed. There, you are not just a number. One improvement I would say, would be new buildings and expanding the school!
