Acadiana High School is a great school overall. Most sports programs at the school are well lead and successful. Although the academics are favorable for advanced placement students such as myself, who are naturally keen to picking up material, students in regular placement classes aren't pushed or challenged in class. This is an issue within my school because only a certain demographic is being educated properly in the way of college readiness. While the facilities are not poor there are many improvements that should be made but the overall environment is always kept clean. Acadiana also has many clubs and activities including Beta, National Honors Society, FBLA, Students for Christ, French Club, Battle of the Classes, talent shows, etc. These different activities keep the student body active and engaged in the school and community. Acadiana has left a permanent imprint on my life and I'm very proud to say that I am a Acadiana High Wreckin' Ram!

My high school experience thus far has been extraordinary. I have had many chances to get the grade I desired and help is always offered. Because tutoring is offered almost everyday, varying on the tutor, it is truly something I respected the staff and school for. However, something I would like the school to improve on, is to worry more about there children's education rather than what jacket they are wearing; and when they are wearing it. I do understand their reasoning for it, but wasting class time over it and losing a child's learning time to change it, take it off, write them up for it, or go to the office over it; is unnecessary and counterproductive for both staff and students.
Attending Acadiana High School could have possibly being the best thing for me. I went to a performance arts middle school, so originally planned on attending another school. Since I was in a talented program I decided to join Acadiana's business program. Being in those business classes prepared me for the real world and helped me realize what I wanted my major to be in college. We did things like budgets, income taxes, learning about the stock market and so much more. We were required to complete an internship, so we made connections that we could've used in college. There was a variety of clubs we were able to join and they all represented the school well. They also helped me win a contest where my best friend and I won a $15,000 scholarship.
